First little brown of the day. Doesn't look like a stocked fish.
That little brown was living here. Worked for about 2 hrs on this fish with no less than 8 flies.
The fins are perfect and if I didn't know better I'd say this was a hold over. BUT, as we all know, this is a stocked stream....
Here's where that brown was holding. Expected a much smaller fish here...
Then I saw this deep pool. The water runs freely under the brush pile and so did my nymph.
Then this one hit. Complete surprise this late in the season. A rainbow still alive. Now this is fun!
